SSB SI Recruitment Age Details :

• Sub Inspector (Pioneer): The maximum age for UR/EWS candidates is 30 years, for OBC candidates is 33 years, and for SC/ST candidates is 35 years.
• Sub Inspector (Draughtsman): The age limit for UR/EWS candidates is from 18 to 30 years, for OBC candidates is from 18 to 33 years, and for SC/ST candidates is from 18 to 35 years.
• Sub Inspector (Communication): The maximum age for UR/EWS candidates is 30 years, for OBC candidates is 33 years, and for SC/ST candidates is 35 years.
• Sub Inspector (Staff Nurse Female): The age limit for UR/EWS candidates is from 18 to 30 years, for OBC candidates is from 18 to 33 years, and for SC/ST candidates is from 18 to 35 years.
• The upper age limit is calculated from the last date of application, which is 19 November.
• Ex-servicemen are granted a special 3-year age relaxation, and for departmental candidates, you can refer to the official notification PDF linked below for further details.
• Special age relaxation will be provided to local residents of Jammu and Kashmir who have lived there between 1980 and 1989. Additionally, age concessions will be granted as per the regulations to the victims of the 2002 Gujarat riots and the 1984 Sikh riots.

SSB SI Recruitment 2023 Education Qualification

Check the essential education qualification for Sashastra Seema Bal Sub Inspector Recruitment 2023 :

Sub Inspector (Pioneer): Candidate should have Graduate Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering.

Sub Inspector (Draughtsman): Matriculation or 10th pass, and 2 year National Tradesman Certificate, 1 year certificate course or 1 year AUTOCAD certificate, Desirable experience – 1 year experience in Draughtsmanship (not compulsory).

Sub Inspector (Communication): Graduate degree in Electronics Communication/ Computer Science/ Information Technology Engineering OR Degree in Science with Physics Chemistry and Maths From Recognized University.

Sub Inspector (Staff Nurse Female): 12th pass with Science subject, 3 year diploma in general nursing, registration compulsory, 2 year experience in related field.

SSB SI Recruitment Selection Process

SSB SI Recruitment Physical Standard Test and Physical Efficiency Test

The Physical Standard Test and Physical Efficiency Test (PST & PET) will be administered by the SSB Board of Directors, with specific details provided for administrative convenience, as outlined below

Physical Efficiency Test for only Sub Inspector (Communication) post – PET test for Sub Inspector (Communication) post only details-

Physical Standard Test : The physical standard test will be conducted for the post of SI (Draughtsman, Pioneer, Communication, Staff Nurse). For the post of SI Communication candidates who qualify in PET test will be shortlisted for PST test only. For SI (Staff Nurse female) the physical standard different you can check all the details below-

Written Examination For SSB SI Recruitment – Only candidates who qualify in the PET/PST will be called for the written test, which is a multiple-choice (objective) test of 150 questions, 150 marks, and 3 hours duration. The minimum qualifying marks are 50% for UR/EWS/OBC/Ex-SM candidates and 45% for SC and ST candidates.

Based on the written test, the final merit list will be published by the Sashastra Seema Bal on its official website. Document verification and medical tests will also be conducted.

SSB Sub Inspector Salary Details

The Salary for all the post of sub inspector is based on 7th pay commission, level 6 basic pay matrix rupees- 35,400 to 1,12,400 approximately. Other allowance will be given also as per the salary structure.
