CWC Recruitment 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility criteria for various post is applicable as decided by CWC India. Please be aware that the eligibility criteria mentioned here are the fundamental requirements for applying to the position. During the interview, candidates must present the original documents along with self-attested photocopies to verify their identity, eligibility in terms of category, nationality, age, educational qualifications, etc., as stated in the online application form. Nationality : Applicants for Company recruitment must be either:

• (a) Indian citizens,
• (b) Nepali subjects,
• (c) Bhutanese subjects,
• (d) Tibetan refugees who arrived in India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanent settlement, or
• (e) Persons of Indian origin who migrated from specified countries with the intention of permanent settlement in India.
• Note: Candidates falling under categories (b), (c), (d), and (e) must possess a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.

Assistant Engineer (CIVIL) :

A degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University.

Assistant Engineer (ELECTRICAL) :

A degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University.

Accountant :

Candidates eligible for this position should hold a B.Com or BA (Commerce) degree, or be a Chartered Accountant, Costs and Works Accountant, or SAS Accountant from the Indian Audit and Accounts Department. Additionally, they should possess approximately three years of experience in maintaining and auditing accounts within industrial, commercial, or departmental undertakings.

Candidate should have 3 year working experience.

Superintendent (General) :

Post Graduate Degree in any discipline from a recognised University.

Junior Technical Assistant :

A candidate should have either a degree in Agriculture or a degree with Zoology, Chemistry, or Bio-Chemistry as one of the subjects.

NOTE : Having a working knowledge of computers will be an additional advantage for all the positions.

The selection process for the posts of Assistant Engineer (Civil), Assistant Engineer (Electrical), Accountant, and Superintendent (General) is an online test followed by document verification and an interview.

The selection process for the post of Junior Technical Assistant is Online Test and Document Verification only.

Exam Pattern For Assistant Engineer (CIVIL/ ELECTRICAL) :

There will be 1/4th negative marking for each wrong answer. Professional knowledge will be degree related.

Candidates must achieve passing marks in each test/section as determined by the Company. The Company will decide on an adequate number of candidates to be shortlisted for the interview in each category, which will be approximately 5 times the number of vacancies, subject to availability. For JTA candidate will be called for document verification is 3 times.

CWC Selection Process Interview :

Candidates who successfully pass the Competitive Online Written Examination will be invited for an interview, with up to five times the number of vacancies available in the respective categories/disciplines. The ultimate selection will be determined by the performance in both the online objective test and the interview. The interview sessions will take place at designated centers.

Interview test will be total 100 marks.

The weightage ratio of computer based online exam and Interview will be 85:15.

Final merit list will be prepared based on marks in online written test and interview and for JTA online exam and document verification.

For Assistant Engineer (CIVIL/ ELECTRICAL), Accountant, Superintendent (GENERAL) Scale of Pay(IDA) (Rs.) 40,000 to 1,40,000 grade pay E-1.

For Junior Technical Assistant Scale of Pay (IDA) (Rs.) 29000-93000 grade pay S-V.

Probation Period : Probation period for all the selected candidate will be 2 Years initially.

This is a pan-India position, and candidates provisionally assigned to the positions listed in Table A1 (pending satisfaction of all necessary criteria) could be stationed anywhere within or outside India, at the discretion of CWC. As part of the initial onboarding, employees might be required to spend a designated period of time at CWC’s field units.
