The selection pattern for RRB ALP Loco-Pilot Vacancy will be based on Computer based test tier-1, tier-2 and CBAT.

If you have completed an ITI/Trade Apprenticeship, you’ll need to answer questions related to your specific trade. For those with Degrees, Diplomas, or HSC (10+2) qualifications eligible for ALP positions, you have to choose the trade that matches your engineering discipline/HSC (10+2) from the provided list. Shortlisted candidates will be called for Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT).
Minimum Passing Score: To qualify, candidates must achieve a minimum score of 42 marks in each of the test batteries. This requirement applies to all candidates, and no exceptions or relaxations are allowed.
After the completion of the entire process, successful candidates will be called for document verification. The final list of candidates applying for the respective RRB will be published on its website.

RRB ALP Notification 2024 Eligibility Criteria
- Age limit for UR/EWS candidates will be 18-30 years.
- Age limit for OBC candidates will be 18-33 years.
- Age limit for SC/ST candidates will be 18-35 years.
- Upper age limit date calculation for UR/ EWS candidates 02 July 1994.
- Upper age limit date calculation for OBC candidates 02 July 1991
- Upper age limit date calculation for UR/ EWS candidates 02 July 1989.
- Lower limit of date of birth for all the candidates (Not after that) is 01 July 2006.
RRB Assistant Loco Pilot Vacancy Education Qualification
Applicants must have either:
Matriculation/SSLC with an ITI qualification from recognized institutions in NCVT/SCVT trades such as Armature and Coil Winder, Electrician, Instrument Mechanic, Machinist, Mechanic Diesel, Mechanic Motor Vehicle, Millwright Maintenance Mechanic, Mechanic Radio & TV, Electronics Mechanic, Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Mechanic, Tractor Mechanic, Turner, Wireman, Fitter, or Heat Engine.

Matriculation/SSLC with a completed Course Act Apprenticeship in the mentioned trades.

A 3-year Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Automobile Engineering or a combination of various streams within these engineering disciplines from a recognized institution in place of an ITI qualification.
Note: A degree in the specified engineering disciplines is also acceptable for ALP positions in lieu of a diploma in engineering.”

RRB Assistant Loco Pilot Vacancy Examination Fees
The examination fees for UR/ EWS and OBC male candidates will be 500 rupees, out of which 400 rupees will be refunded to only those candidates who will appear in CBT tier 1 exam.
Similarly examination fees for SC/ST / ESM / EBC and all Female candidates will be 250 rupees will be refunded to only those candidates who will appear in CBT tier 1 exam.
