The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducts the Probationary Officer (PO) / Management Trainee/ Bank Officer Scale I examination annually to select eligible candidates for various prestigious banking positions. It serves as a standardized recruitment process for nationalized banks in India.

The number of tentative vacancies for the posts of Probationary Officer is 3100 which may increase as several banks not reported about vacancy yet.

Candidate from all India can apply for these posts. These recruitment is based on all India level. Selected candidate can be posted anywhere in India.

IBPS Probationary Officer Recruitment 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility criteria for various post is applicable as decided by IBPS India. Please be aware that the eligibility criteria mentioned here are the fundamental requirements for applying to the position. During the interview, candidates must present the original documents along with self-attested photocopies to verify their identity, eligibility in terms of category, nationality, age, educational qualifications, etc., as stated in the online application form. It is essential to note that no changes to the application data will be allowed after the completion of the online registration process.

Nationality : Applicants for Company recruitment must be either:

• (a) Indian citizens,
• (b) Nepali subjects,
• (c) Bhutanese subjects,
• (d) Tibetan refugees who arrived in India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanent settlement, or
• (e) Persons of Indian origin who migrated from specified countries with the intention of permanent settlement in India.
• Note: Candidates falling under categories (b), (c), (d), and (e) must possess a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.

IBPS PO/Management Trainee Recruitment 2023 Education Qualification :

To be eligible for the IBPS PO exam, candidates must hold a Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognized by the Government of India or possess an equivalent qualification acknowledged by the Central Government. It is essential for the candidate to have a valid Mark-sheet or Degree Certificate proving their graduation status on the day of registration. Additionally, during the online registration process, candidates must indicate the percentage of marks obtained in their Graduation.

All the educational qualifications mentioned must be obtained from a University/Institution/Board that is recognized by the Government of India or approved by Government Regulatory Bodies. Moreover, the final results of these qualifications should have been declared on or before 21.08.2023.

IBPS PO Recruitment Notification 2023 Age Limit :

• Age limit for Unreserved/ EWS- 20-30 years.
• age relaxation as per reservation rule applied – For OBC – 3year, For or ST/SC -5 years relaxation given.
• Age relaxation for Physically disabled person under is 10 year.
• For Ex-Servicemen 5 year age relaxation will be given.
• The critical date for determining the age of candidates is set as 01.08.2023, To be eligible, a candidate’s date of birth must fall within the range of 2nd August 1993 to 1st August 2003, both dates inclusive.

IBPS PO Recruitment 2023 Notification Selection Process :

The selection process for ibps po will be consist of three phases.

Phase -I Preliminary Examination : Objective type computer based online exam

Phase -II Mains Examination : Mains Examination will consist of objective and descriptive type .

Phase -III Interview : Candidates who shortlisted in phase II will be called for interview. The weightage for online exam and interview will be 80 : 20 .

Final Selection :The final selection will be determined by the consolidated marks obtained in the main examination (objective test and Descriptive test) and the Interview.

Phase -I Preliminary Examination :

Online pre exam consist of 100 marks and time duration 1 hour. There will be 1/4th negative marking for each wrong answer.

Candidates must achieve passing marks in each test/section as determined by the IBPS. The IBPS will decide on an adequate number of candidates to be shortlisted for the Main Examination in each category, which will be depend on number of vacancies ,subject to availability.

Phase -II Mains Examination :

Mains examination will consist of objective test and descriptive test for ibps probationary officer/management officer. There will be one-fourth negative marking for each wrong answer.

The Descriptive Paper of English Language (Letter writing & Essay) will be assessed using an automated scoring mechanism that identifies features associated with writing proficiency. This scoring mechanism is thoroughly validated and objectively evaluates the test takers’ writing skills in English Language, ensuring it remains free from any inherent biases during the evaluation of responses.

Candidates must achieve passing marks in each test/section as determined by the Company. The Company will decide on an adequate number of candidates to be shortlisted for the Main Examination in each category, which will be approximately depend on number of vacancy.

• Online application fees for UR/Gen/EWS/OBC is 850 rupees.
• Application fees for ST,SC Pwbd candidates is 175 rupees.
