National Board of Examinations in Medical Science

In 1975, the Indian Government founded the National Board of Examinations in Medical Science (NBEMS) with the aim of enhancing the quality of medical education. This was to be achieved by setting consistent and elevated standards for postgraduate examinations in modern medicine across the entire nation, while also making efficient use of existing infrastructure for capacity development.

The primary purpose behind establishing NBEMS was to tackle the challenge of ensuring consistent standards in medical education nationwide. Currently, NBEMS has effectively developed a strong system for standardized accreditation, education, and examinations in postgraduate and postdoctoral medical fields in the country, earning international recognition.

NBEMS Group A B C posts direct recruitment notification vacancy details are as follows :

NBEMS Group A B C posts direct recruitment – As per the official notification these vacancies are for Group A, B, C. Where Deputy Director (Medical), Law Officer, Junior Programmer positions considered as Group A post while other position considered as Group B, Group C posts.

NBEMS Group A B C posts direct recruitment Salary Details

The Salary level for each post of NBEMS Group A B C posts direct recruitment is as follows :

• The salary level for Deputy Director (Medical) is in the Level-11 pay scale, ranging from Rs. 69,000 to Rs. 1,13,000.
• The salary level for Law Officer is in the Level-10 pay scale, ranging from Rs. 61,000 to Rs. 1,00,000.
• The salary level for Junior Programmer is in the Level-7 pay scale, ranging from Rs. 44,000 to 70,000.
• The salary level for Junior Accountant and Stenographer is in the level-4 pay scale, ranging from Rs. 25,000 to 37,000.
• The salary level for Junior Assistant is in the Level-2 pay scale, ranging from Rs. 19,000 to Rs. 28,000.

NBEMS Recruitment Exam Pattern Syllabus

NBEMS Recruitment Exam Pattern Syllabus is as follows

The examination scheme and syllabus for the positions of Deputy Director (Medical), Law Officer, and Junior Programmer will be communicated soon through the NBEMS website.

For the positions of Junior Accountant, Stenographer, and Junior Assistant :

NBEMS Recruitment Exam Pattern Syllabus and Selection Process for these posts comprises of two stages Stage 1 and Stage 2.

Stage 1 : In this stage, a computer-based test will be held. The total marks for the CBT is 200, and there will be 200 questions. The time duration is 3 hours, and there will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

The Level of CBT examination for Junior Accountant is graduate level, while for Stenographer and Junior Assistant CBT level is 10+2 paper.

Stage 1 Computer Based Test Pattern (Time 3 Hours), 50% minimum qualifying marks for Gen, EWS, OBC candidates and 40% for all others.

Stage 2 : the stage 2 will be Computer Knowledge/ Skill Test of total 100 marks and 75 minutes.

The Stage-II Examination will cover tasks such as data entry, word processing, computer operation, and stenography, as needed for the specific position. To qualify for final selection, candidates must score a minimum of 40% for SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-SM candidates and 50% for all other candidates in Stage-II

Final Result : The final merit list for these positions will be compiled based on the total marks achieved by candidates in the Computer-Based Test (Stage-I) and the Computer Knowledge/Skill Test (Stage-II), which will determine their ranking. In case two or more candidates have the same score, the older candidate will be ranked higher. This merit list will remain valid for one year or until the next selection, whichever comes first.

Age relaxation is provided as per government reservation rules, with 5 years for SC/ST candidates, 3 years for OBC candidates, and 10 years for PwBD candidates.

NBEMS DEPUTY DIRECTOR (MEDICAL) :

Age Requirement: Must be under 35 years of age.

Educational Qualifications: Essential: Must hold a recognized Postgraduate Medical qualification approved under the Indian Medical Council Act-1956.

Desirable:

• Additional training in medical education technology.
• Knowledge in modern evaluation techniques, including the creation of multiple-choice questions (MCQs), modified essay questions (MEQs), and the analysis of candidate performance.”

NBEMS Law Officer :

Age Requirement: Must be under 35 years of age.

Education Qualification : (Essential) Graduate with LLB with minimum 50% marks and 3 year professional experience.

Desirable : Experience in managing legal affairs within government, public sector undertakings (PSUs), autonomous bodies, or statutory organizations.

NBEMS Junior Programmer :

Age Requirement: Must be under 27 years of age.

Education Qualification : B.Tech./BE/BCA/DOEACC (‘B’ or ‘C’ level)/ Degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics with a specialization in computers, or an equivalent qualification.

NBEMS Junior Accountant :

Age Requirement: Must be under 27 years of age.

Education Qualification : Graduate with Maths/ Statistics/ Commerce and must pass the examination as required by NBEMS.

Desirable : 3 years’ gov’t account handling experience with computer-based skills.”

NBEMS STENOGRAPHER :

Age Requirement: Must be under 27 years of age.

Education Qualification : 12th pass + Stenography skills of 80/30 words per minute in shorthand/typing are required. Candidates must pass the General English, Shorthand, and Typewriting test conducted by the Board.

Desirable : Two years of government/PSU/autonomous body stenography experience, with computer word processing skills.

NBEMS Junior Assistant :

Age Requirement: Must be under 27 years of age.

Education Qualification : 12th pass + Computer Proficiency & Knowledge. Must pass the examination as specified by NBEMS.

NBEMS Group A B C posts direct recruitment How to apply online :

Candidate has to upload his/ her basic details. Candidates need to enter their details like name, Aadhar number, email-id, mobile-number, etc. Candidate need to upload recent photograph, signature, education, income, caste certificate etc.

Be care full for enter each required detail it is verified at the time of document verification after passing all the test.
