SSC CPO Recruitment Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility criteria for various post is applicable as decided by SSC India.

Nationality : A candidate must be citizen of India, a subject of Nepal or Bhutan.

Provided a candidate falls under categories 4.2 and 4.3, they must hold a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India. In cases where a candidate requires an eligibility certificate, they will be allowed to take the examination. However, the formal appointment will only be granted after the Government of India issues the necessary eligibility certificate to the candidate.

SSC CPO Recruitment Education Qualification :

Required Education Qualification for the post of SSC CPO – A candidate must have Bachelors Degree in any subject from a recognized university. Students who are appearing for their final year examinations this year can also apply; however, they must obtain the necessary qualifications by 15th August 2023.

To be eligible for the position of Sub Inspector in Delhi Police, male candidates are required to have a valid Driving License for LMV (Motorcycle and Car) on the date set for the Physical Endurance and Measurement Tests (PE&MT).

Without this license, male candidates are not eligible for the Sub Inspector position in Delhi Police. However, if they do not possess a Valid Driving License for LMV (Motorcycle and Car), they can still apply for the Sub Inspector position in CAPFs (Central Armed Police Forces).

SSC CPO Recruitment Age Limit :

SSC CPO Recruitment Notification Selection Process :

The Selection Process will comprise four stages, each of which is mandatory for all candidates. These stages are:

• Stage 1-Paper-I: This is the first stage of the examination. Which is Computer Based Test.
• Stage 2-Physical Standard Test (PST) / Physical Endurance Test (PET): Candidates will undergo this test to assess their physical fitness.
• Stage 3-Paper-II: The second paper of the examination will be English Language and Comprehensive test.
• Stage 4-Detailed Medical Examination (DME): This is the final stage of the examination, where candidates will undergo a comprehensive medical assessment.

Final merit list will be made separately for each state wise or ssc region wise based on decision made by ssc India.

All these stages are crucial and must be completed by every candidate as part of the selection process. Below are further details of each stage:

Stage 1 : Paper I Computer Based Test. Total time duration for paper 1 is 2 hours.

Stage 2 : Physical Standard Test (PST), Physical Endurance Test (PET)

Physical Standard Test details

• Male candidates except those listed at S No (ii) and (iii) Height should be 170 cm, Chest Unexpanded 80 cm and Expanded 85 cm.
• All candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes Height should be 162.5 cm, Chest Unexpanded 77 cm and Expanded 82 cm.
• Candidates belonging to Hill areas of Garhwal, Kumaon, Himachal Pradesh, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas, Kashmir Valley, Leh & Ladakh regions, North-Eastern States and Sikkim Height should be 165 cm Chest Unexpanded 80 cm and Expanded 85 cm.
• Female candidates except those listed at S No (v) and (vi) Height should be 157 cm.
• All female candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes Height should be 154 cm.
• Femae Candidates belonging to Hill areas of Garhwal, Kumaon, Himachal Pradesh, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas, Kashmir Valley, Leh & Ladakh regions, North-Eastern States and Sikkim Height should be 155 cm.

Physical Endurance Test (PET) for all Post;

For male candidate- 100 metre race in 16 seconds, 1.6 Kms race in 6.5 minutes. Long Jump: 3.65 metre in 3 chances. High Jump : 1.2 metre in 3 chances
Shot put (16 Lbs): 4.5 metre in 3 chances.

For female candidates: 100 metre race in 18 seconds ,800 metre race in 4 minutes. Long Jump: 2.7 metre in 3 chances. High Jump: 0.9 metre in 3 chances.

Stage 3 : Paper II –

Question in Paper 1 and Paper 2 will be objective multiple type question.

Paper 1 part I,II,III will be in both Hindi and English language. Part IV and Paper 2 will be only in English language only.

There will be 1/3 negative marking for all the wrong answer.

Stage 4 :Medical Standard Test for all the post will be taken for only those candidate who qualify for paper 2. Medical and Eye test should be as per the standard rule set by SSC. You can check official notification for more details.

I. One Time Registration
II. Filling of online Application for the Examination

Part 1 one time registration is for those who have not apply for any ssc post previously in recent times. After registration one time candidates need not to register themselves several times. Candidates need to enter their details like name, Aadhar number, email-id, mobile-number, etc.

Part 2 candidate need to upload recent photograph, signature, education, income, caste certificate etc.
