SSC Stenographer Recruitment Eligibility Criteria:
Eligibility criteria for various post is applicable as decided by SSC India.
Nationality: A candidate must be a citizen of India, a subject of Nepal or Bhutan.
Provided a candidate falls under categories 4.2 and 4.3, they must hold a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India. In cases where a candidate requires an eligibility certificate, they will be allowed to take the examination. However, the formal appointment will only be granted after the Government of India issues the necessary eligibility certificate to the candidate.
SSC Stenographer Grade C and Grade D Education Qualification :
Applicants should have successfully cleared the 12th standard or an equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.
The candidates are required to have the essential educational qualification on or before the closing date for the receipt of online applications.

SSC Stenographer Grade C and D Recruitment Selection Process :
In the ssc stenographer vacancy notification, there are two stages – CBT (Computer based Test) and Skill test
After being shortlisted in Computer Based Test/Examination candidates will be called for a Skill Test later.
Minimum qualifying marks for CBT is follows UR-30%, OBC/EWS-25% for all other categories- 20%.

SSC Stenographer Computer Based Exam Pattern :
In this year’s SSC Stenographer CBT examination, there have been some significant changes made to the exam pattern. SSC Stenographer aspirants should clearly understand this new examination pattern and prepare for the exam.
SSC Stenographer Grade C and D CBT exam details:
The SSC Stenographer exam will be a computer-based exam which is of total 2 hours and 200 marks.
In the Computer-Based Examination, for each incorrect answer, there will be a negative marking of one-third of the marks assigned to the respective question. Candidates are advised to bear this in mind while responding to the questions.
Previously negative marking was 1/4 but this year ssc changed it to 1/3.

Based on paper 1 candidates will be shortlisted for Skill test, Dates for skill test announced later.
Previous years negative marking was 1/4th for each wrong answer but this year ssc have change negative marking by 1/3 for each wrong answer.
SSC Stenographer Grade C and D Skill Test:
Candidates shortlisted in the Computer-Based Examination will need to participate in the Skill Test for Stenography.
During the Skill Test, candidates will be provided with one dictation lasting for 10 minutes in either English or Hindi (based on the choice made in the online Application Form).
The dictation will be at the speed of 100 words per minute (w.p.m.) for the post of Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and 80 w.p.m. for the post of Stenographer Grade ‘D’.
Subsequently, the candidates will be required to transcribe the dictated matter on a computer. The transcription time for the test is as follows: [insert the respective transcription time for each post].
