UPSC ESIC Nursing Officer Job Description

ESIC is a central government institution that provides medical insurance and healthcare services to employees working under both central and state governments in India. ESIC nursing officers work in ESIC hospitals and offices located throughout India to ensure the smooth operation of medical facilities. Nursing officers are responsible for managing nursing facilities within the hospital.

UPSC ESIC Nursing Officer Salary

The basic pay level for UPSC ESIC Nursing Officer is Level-7, with an approximate monthly salary ranging from 44,900 to 1,42,400. In addition to the salary, other benefits such as medical facilities, House Rent Allowance (HRA), Travel Allowance (TA), Dearness Allowance (DA), and other benefits will be provided as per the rules.

The post is permanent. Group- “B”, Non-Ministerial.

UPSC ESIC Nursing Officer Age Criteria

• Age limit for UR/ EWS candidates- 18 to 30 years, SC/ST candidates- 18 to 35 years and OBC candidates- 18 to 33 year.
• The age calculation will be done from August 1, 2024.

UPSC ESIC Nursing Officer Education Qualification

ESIC Nursing Officer Recruitment 2024 education-

• (i) Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Nursing, Regular B.Sc. Nursing, or Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized university or institute; and
• (ii) Registered as a nurse or nurse and midwife (registered Nurse or registered Nurse & registered Midwife) with the State Nursing council.

OR

• (i) Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery from a recognized Board or Council; and
• (ii) Registered as a nurse or nurse and midwife (registered Nurse or registered Nurse & registered Midwife) with the State Nursing Council;
• (iii) One year of experience in a minimum fifty-bedded hospital after acquiring the educational qualification mentioned in point (i) above.

UPSC ESIC Nursing Officer Recruitment Selection Process

UPSC ESIC Nursing Officer recruitment 2024 Selection process consists of two stages –

• A pen and paper-based Recruitment Test (RT) will be conducted by the Commission on 07-07-2024.
• Document Verification.

The OMR based paper will be 2 hours, Total 100 mcq, and there will be one third negative marking for each wrong answer. The Recruitment Test will be given 100% weightage. Check OMR exam pattern-
