Directorate of Purchase and Stores

The Directorate of Purchase & Stores (DPS) is a unit of the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), a department of the Government of India. The DPS’s responsibilities include purchasing and managing materials for research centers such as the Bhabha Atomic Research Center (BARC) in Mumbai, the Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR) in Kalpakkam, the Raja Ramanna Centre for Advanced Technology (RRCAT) in Indore, and the Variable Energy Cyclotron Centre (VECC) in Kolkata.

The DPS also manages procurement for industrial facilities such as the Nuclear Fuel Complex (NFC) in Hyderabad, the Board of Radiation and Isotope Technology (BRIT) in Navi Mumbai, and Heavy Water Plants located in Manuguru, Kota, Talcher, Tuticorin, and Baroda, all under the purview of the DAE.

DPS DAE Junior Storekeeper/ Junior Purchase Assistant Recruitment Age Details

The age limit for UR/EWS candidates must be between 18- 27 years.
The age limit for OBC candidates must be between 18- 30 years.
The age limit for SC/ST candidates must be between 18- 30 years.
Age relaxation will be given to all obc/ sc/st candidates who have essential documents only.

DPS DAE Jr Purchase Assistant / Junior Storekeeper Education Qualification

Candidate must be Graduate in Science with 60% marks. OR
Candidate must be Graduate in Commerce with 60% marks. OR
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering/ Electronics / Computer Science with 60% marks.

DPS DAE Recruitment Selection Process

The Selection process for junior purchase assistant/ junior storekeeper post is combination of level-1 and level-2 exam.

Level-1 Written Test (OMR Based Objective type ) Total time duration of written exam is 2 hours, total 200 marks,1 mark each question, negative marking -0.25.

Level 2 Exam Pattern: Level 2 will be written test Descriptive type, both the paper level1 and level 2 will be held on the same day, Level 1 compulsory to pass.

DPS DAE Junior Purchase Assistant Junior Storekeeper Salary

The Salary for Junior Purchase Assistant/ Junior Storekeeper will be level 4 of 7th CPC which is 25,500-81,100 rupees per month approximately 25,500 and all other allowance will be given as per the govt of India rules.
The initial training of 6 month, during training period selected candidates will be given rupees 18,000 +Allowance.
