CSIR CASE SO ASO Recruitment Age Details

• The age limit for UR/EWS candidates not exceeding then 33 years.
• The age limit for OBC candidates not exceeding then 36 years.
• The age limit for SC/ST candidates not exceeding then 38 years.
• Age relaxation will be given to all obc/ sc/st candidates who have essential documents only.
• Ex-servicemen, PwBD candidates age relaxation given as per rules.

CSIR CASE Section Officer and Assistant Section Officer Education Qualification

Only a university degree is required for both section officer and assistant section officer positions.

Candidates lacking the required educational qualifications by the application deadline should not apply. No further queries or clarifications on this issue will be entertained.

CSIR CASE Recruitment 2023 Selection Process

The Selection process for Section Officers and Assistant Section Officers is as follows:

1. The CSIR Combined Administrative Services Examination comprises three papers: Paper 1, Paper 2, and Paper 3.
2. These papers will be the same for candidates applying for both the Section Officer and Assistant Section Officer roles.
3. However, after completing these stages, only Section Officer candidates will participate in an interview, whereas Assistant Section Officer candidates must take a computer proficiency test.

Paper 1 Exam Pattern- Total 150 marks, and total time duration – 2 hours.

Paper-2 Exam Pattern- Total 200 marks, Total time duration- 2 hours 30 minutes (150 minutes).

Paper-3 Exam Pattern- Total 150 marks and total time duration 2 hours (120 minutes).

Paper 1, Paper 2 and Paper 3 is compulsory for both So and ASO posts.

Interview : The interview of 100 marks specifically for the position of Section Officer (General/Finance/Stores & Purchase).

Computer Proficiency Test : The CPT of 100 marks for the post of Assistant Section Officer only, it is only qualifying in nature only.

CSIR CASE-2023 Section Officer and Assistant Section Officer Recruitment Salary

• The Salary for CSIR Section Officer (Gen/F&A/S&P) will be Level 8 of 7th CPC which is (Rs. 47,600 –Rs. 1,51,100). It is a Gazetted Group B Level Post.
• The Salary for CSIR Section Officer (Gen/F&A/S&P) will be Level 7 of 7th CPC which is (Rs. 44,900 –Rs. 1,42,400). It is a Non-Gazetted Group B Level Post.
