The Indian Institute of Soyabean Research is located in Indore Madhya-pradesh. Exploring the significance of soybeans in the country’s oilseed economy, ICAR initiated the establishment of an All India Coordinated Research Project On Soybean back in 1967.

Madhya Pradesh is the leading state in cultivating soybeans in the country, hence this research institute was established in Indore. The institute endeavors to produce a high-quality soybean crop by raising awareness among local farmers on their own land rights and the specific region’s agricultural practices.

IISR Indore Walk in Interview

Applications are requested through Advt No. 08/2023 from qualified candidates for a walk-in-interview for the temporary role of Young Professional-I in AICRPS on the Soybean scheme, on a short-term basis. Eligible candidates should attend the walk-in-interview on November 30, 2023, between 10:30 AM and 12:00 NOON, bringing necessary self-attested documents and the designated application form. Original documents along with the prescribed application form will be verified during the interview.

Young Professional- 1 :

  • Project Name : AICRPS on Soybean
  • Principal Investigator / Nodal Officer : Dr. Sanjay Gupta, Principal Scientist
  • Post Name & No. of Post : Young Professional – 1 & No. of Post -01
  • Education Qualification : Graduate in Agriculture Science
  • Desirable Qualification : Working experience of conducting field trials and basic working knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel.
  • Experience : Not Applicable
  • Emoluments : 25,000 per month
  • Age limit : 21 years to 45 years
  • Category : All Category candidate Eligible (UR/SC/ST/OBC/EWS)
  • Duration of Work : The initial appointment of YP-I will be until March 31, 2024, and can be extended for a maximum of three additional years (1+1+1), based on the organization’s needs and satisfactory performance.

Junior Research Fellow:

  • Project Name : The DBT-funded project aims at developing an environmentally friendly controlled-release P-fertilizer and evaluating its impact on soybean productivity and soil microbial health in conjunction with Plant Growth Promoting Microbes.
  • Principal Investigator / Nodal Officer : Dr. Mahavir Prasad Sharma, Principal Scientist
  • Post Name & No. of Post : Junior Research Fellow & No. of Post -01
  • Education Qualification : M.Sc. in Microbiology/ Agriculture Microbiology/Life Sciences. National Eligibility Test (NET) qualified from ICAR/ CSIR/ UGC/ ICMR/ IISc./DST/DBT etc
  • Desirable Qualification : Working on mycorrhizal fungi and PGPR research, Working on phospholipids extraction and handling of Gas chromatograph.
  • Emoluments : For 1st & 2nd year 31,000 and 16% HRA, and For 3rd year 35,000 and 16% HRA.
  • Age limit : Maximum Age 35 years for men & 40 years for women. Age relaxation for SC/ ST/OBC/PwD etc. as per norms.
  • Category : All Category candidate Eligible (UR/SC/ST/OBC/EWS)
  • Duration of Work : Initially until March 31, 2024, with the possibility of extension until September 2026, contingent upon your performance and the availability of funds.
